The most common sport in Spain is soccer it has been around for hundreds of years. In Spain, there are many different leagues which run all throughout the country. One of the main leagues is called the Golden League. This is the one league where each city has its own team and where they compete against another cities´ team.

This Spanish soccer league, the Golden League, is very simple to follow. Each team consists of a certain amount of people. The teams travel around Spain and play against the other teams composed of people from those other cities. There is 42 day long schedule where teams are playing. Seasons are divided into two parts where one half of the season, 22 games are being played. When the second half of the season starts, 22 more games are played.

Each day nearly 8-12 games are played. Scores from these matches are all added-up and put into a table. All teams are ranked according to the number of wins they have, in comparison to the number of times they have lost.
